Wedding is one of the most important days in the life of every woman. It truly is the first day of the rest of your life, a beginning of a new stage with the person you hold closest to your heart. Naturally, you’d want that day to be a day to remember, something you will look back on with a joyful tear in the corner of your eye.
Those who have already gone through it and tied the knot can tell you just how much they stressed over getting every tiny detail just right and just perfect. We all want everything to be special and infused with our own personality, but achieving that is going to take a lot of work.
Flower arrangements play no small part in the grand scheme of wedding bells. Of course you want the flowers at your wedding to be beautiful, but, ideally, you’d also want them to be unique and to carry the mark of your own personality.
With so many options at your disposal, a lot of future brides get confused and go for one of the safe, classic options. Classic is good, but if you want something a bit out of the ordinary, we have you covered. Here are a few suggestions for a beautiful, outside-the-box flower arrangements.
1. Salad dressing
If you want to go for something unexpected and surprising, consider adding ornamental kale to your bouquet. Yes, addingvegetables to your flower arrangements is an unusual choice, but the end result is both eye pleasing and exotic. It is most certainly different than your run-of-the-mill greenery decorations, and it produces especially gorgeous results as a counterpoint to a predominantly bright flower base, especially white and pink.
If you want to go all in on veggie flower decorations, you might want to consider some other colorful vegetables such as purple or green artichokes, carrots (remember, they don’t come in only one colour), or even sunflower. All of these options make for a fun, exotic and, above all, beautiful arrangement.
2. Feathered Flowers
Using feathers as flower decorations is an excellent idea because it not only adds a breath of fresh air to your combination, but it can also go in a lot of different directions. For a touch of both class and exotica use short white feathers – they can refresh a classic, predominantly white arrangement and add a touch of symbolism to the ceremony. However, if you’re looking to make a splash and really grab the attention, consider some more exotic, multicolored feathers in combination with a bit more daring flower selection. You can use as many feathers as you want, but using them only for accents around the main arrangement will keep you on the safe side.
3. Button mum pomanders
Due to their vibrant colors (ranging from yellow to purple with plenty in between) and their round shape, button mums make for an excellent choice for pomanders. Clustered together they look bright, cheery and fresh, and are perfect for outdoor ceremonies in warm weather, but can also make for gorgeous table decorations.
4. Blue Accents
Due to their relative rarity compared to some other colors, blue flowers are an excellent choice for accents on bright, monochromatic floral arrangements. Depending on the combination, they can add a touch of elegance or break the monotony of a beautiful, yet generic all white arrangement. You have quite a few choices at your disposal, but hydrangeas and thistle make for uncommon, yet simply stunning details.
5. Wheat Grass
Especially attractive for outdoor weddings, wheat grass can be both a gorgeous decoration detail on a bouquet and a fine choice for table arrangements. It adds a rustic, organic touch to the flower arrangements without losing anything in the aesthetics department (as long as you keep the stems short).
